Born and raised in Clayton, North Carolina, there was never a huge influence or impact with art in the community. However, he grew up around music with his father, and he used music and art as therapy to get him through troubled times. It was the one thing that helped his mental and kept him clear headed. A desire to recreate posters of musicians, athletes, and centerfolds, forged a love for recreating the human form and portraits.
After graduating high school, he attended The University of North Carolina at Wilmington for Business Management with a concentration in Marketing. Within just three months of college, he was suspended from school for a year, and forced to moved back home to take classes in order to graduate on time. In this time, he became a real estate appraiser trainee, and worked at a steakhouse for cash. He also took an art class as an elective credit, which sparked him to better his skills as an artist.
Once returning to Wilmington, NC, he fell in love with capturing the beauty of the female composition and abstract art. His only art form prior to graduating college, was pencil and charcoal drawings. He would later teach himself to paint at the age of 24, while working as a loan officer at Wells Fargo. During 2008-2011 the nature of the economy pushed him away from the financial industry, and he taught himself how to fix cell phones, tablets, and laptops for extra money. This later led him to open 3 retail stores by 26. In 2018 he sold his business and moved to Florida to be a full time artist. He now calls Miami home and has been developing the SNEAK brand of art.
